Year 5 Pupils Shine at Local Science Fair

Our Year 5 pupils had a fantastic day representing the school at the annual Community Science Fair last Thursday.

The event brought together schools from across the local area to showcase exciting projects and experiments, with themes ranging from renewable energy to space exploration. Our pupils impressed visitors and judges alike with their creativity, confidence and teamwork.

One group explored how different materials affect insulation, while another designed a model eco-home powered by solar energy. Pupils spoke passionately about their work and answered questions from visitors throughout the afternoon.

Mrs Taylor, Science Lead, said:

“I was incredibly proud of how well our pupils represented the school. They demonstrated excellent scientific knowledge, curiosity and resilience throughout the event.”

The day also gave pupils the opportunity to take part in interactive workshops and meet professionals working in STEM careers.

A special congratulations goes to Olivia and Daniel, whose “Clean Water Challenge” project received the award for Best Environmental Investigation.

Well done to all pupils involved for their enthusiasm, hard work and outstanding behaviour. Thank you also to the staff and parents who supported the trip.

We look forward to taking part again next year!
